Nairobi, Kenya - Nobel Peace Prize winner, Wangari Maathai, passed away of cancer on Sunday at the age of 71. As reported by NTVKenya, the human rights activist and environmentalist made history in 2004 after becoming the first woman from Africa to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.
